2021: one for every month

I’ve selected my favourite image from each month in 2021. Some have been the subject of the monthly reviews, some haven’t, some have been tweaked, but I’m quite pleased with each of the twelve images. Looking back, it turns out that 2021 wasn’t a complete and utter bin-fire…

 
 
 

One of the highlight’s of the year was the trip to Eigg. I wrote about the trip here and if I’d been compiling my favourite twelve images from the year (rather than one per month) then there would certainly be a couple more from this trip in the selection. As it is, I think this does a decent job of capturing one of the most stunning places that I’ve ever been.

There were a couple of other shots that stood out for different reasons. The shot of the Quiraing is my favourite from the trip to Skye (more here) and we really were lucky to get some fantastic light on a really memorable day. The Skye trip was the first of two trips in October, meaning that there’s no room in this gallery for any of the shots from Glen Affric. It’s worth checking those images out here.
