Bamburgh

I’m pretty sure that there isn’t a world shortage of photographs of Bamburgh and Bamburgh Castle. The castle is a prominent feature on the north Northumberland coastline and dominates the views from the sandy beach below. The beach and castle have been shot from every conceivable angle and in every weather imaginable. Many of these shots are excellent, some are world class. (There’s also a fair few that may constitute a  crime against photography). None of which is to suggest that you shouldn’t shoot it; it’s lovely.

The Castle

The Castle is open all year around and is well worth a visit. There’s plenty on display, including the history of the Armstrong and the contribution made over more than one generation. There’s plenty of history, some great views from the castle and even an aviation museum!
