Norham

Norham is a small village that sits about seven miles outside of Berwick on the banks of the Tweed. The main attraction is the ruins of the castle - a seat of the bishops of Durham - although the village and St Cuthbert’s church are both worth a look. The castle, however, is the primary attraction and a subject that JMW Turner painted numerous times during his lifetime.
